Chigda nods toward Giroda in acknowledgment as the young Wish Master ducks back out of his room with a bow. He will be back later to pick up Avicinda, but until then…
He rustles his cloak as he flies near, and Avicinda turns his unseeing gaze toward him. The former Paladin raises a hand toward him, and Chigda grasps his hand firmly, pulling him close. They twirl in the air together, and Avicinda leans against him, touching his face, smiling when Chigda kisses his hand.
Chigda can never speak again. Avicinda can never see again.
And they are happy together.
